The Conference exists for the purpose of promoting the Social Welfare of Citizens of the State of Alabama. The Conference is a non-profit, charitable, educational, literary, and scientific social welfare society. The Conference exists for the purpose of affording an opportunity for those engaged in the practice of social work and related professions and for other persons interested in the promotion of social welfare in Alabama to become knowledgeable and skilled through training and educational sessions related to social welfare, principles of social work, and expertise in social work, in order that they may better promote social welfare in Alabama.
